Bancigny in three films: Saint-Nicolas and the fortified churches of Thiérache

Three distinct regional perspectives: a video titled for Jeantes, Bancigny and Plomion; a heritage documentary on Thiérache churches; and a travel overview of the Aisne.

Régis Renoncourt’s 2021 upload is titled “jeantes, bancigny, plomion”, explicitly tying Bancigny to two nearby Thiérache villages. The page has no description, so this review stays with what the title establishes and does not claim particular scenes or interiors. It is the most directly local title in the set; visitors should still check the tourism office’s current appointment information before expecting to enter Saint-Nicolas.

ImagAisne’s 2013 film “Les Eglises Fortifiées de la Thiérache” takes a broader heritage perspective. The uploader says its footage was shot in 1998 with writer Marc Blancpain, historian Christian Corvisier and local residents. That makes it useful context for understanding the fortified-church tradition across the region, while it should not be mistaken for a current guide to Bancigny or a record of present access.

Travel Marmotte - Anne Landois-Favret published “Aisne - Les églises fortifiées de la Thiérache et le village de Parfondeval” in 2021. The description frames it as a discovery of the Thiérache, its fortified churches and Parfondeval. It offers a visitor-oriented regional angle distinct from the named-village film and the historical documentary. Its description does not claim a full visit to Bancigny’s church, so use it for area context and confirm local routes and access separately.
