Pieve di Teco in three videos: the village, theatre and masks

A regional introduction to Pieve, an archival look at Teatro Salvini and a short visit to the Museo delle Maschere di Ubaga.

Regione Liguria published this 4-minute-45-second clip on 25 July 2023 under the place-specific title Alla scoperta di Pieve di Teco. The official regional channel makes it a useful first visual introduction to the town. Its YouTube metadata provides no synopsis, however, so this review does not claim which buildings or routes appear, and the clip should not be used as a current visitor itinerary. Pair it with the municipality’s descriptions of the arcades and cultural sites.

This 2-minute-47-second clip, uploaded by Andrea Picchiantano on 10 January 2011, is specifically titled Teatro Salvini di Pieve di Teco. Its description places it among short films on cultural properties of the Province of Imperia, produced by television maker Roberto Pecchinantano. The subject is unusually focused: it offers an archival audiovisual complement to the town’s intimate nineteenth-century theatre. It predates later restoration and programming information, so it is not a guide to present access or performance dates.

The 50-second video was published on 6 July 2010 by the locally named channel museidipievediteco and is dedicated to the Museo delle Maschere di Ubaga. Its description explains that the collection developed from research into rural culture and was interpreted by 80 Italian and international artists. This gives the third clip a different purpose from a town overview or theatre portrait: it introduces a specific museum project and its symbolic approach to memory and nature. The upload is old, so confirm the museum’s current opening arrangements with the Comune.
