Bösingen, its castle and local traditions

Three distinct films show the Herrenzimmern ruin, Bösingen from above and an archival local Narrentreffen.

Baden-Württemberg History’s film is the closest match to the castle section of the guide: it focuses on the surviving ruin at Herrenzimmern and gives viewers a visual introduction to the place. It is useful context before a walk, but it cannot tell visitors which paths are open or how steep they are today. Check the local association’s current access notes before setting out.

Franz Aebischer’s aerial footage looks across Bösingen from above and helps orient the village within its surrounding fields; the description also notes a view toward Laupen. The DJI Phantom 2 film dates from 2014, so treat it as a record of the landscape at that time rather than a current survey. It complements the guide’s explanation of the upland setting.

Elvirahh62’s upload preserves an older Narrentreffen recording from an 8 mm tape, with little editing. It offers an archival glimpse of a local carnival gathering and adds a community-tradition angle to the guide. The video was uploaded in 2011, but the recording’s event date is not firmly established here; it should not be used as a current calendar or schedule.
