Ansty, West Sussex: a village of sport, brewing and Wealden character

Ansty is a village in Mid Sussex, on the A272 about 1.4 miles south-west of Cuckfield and close to Haywards Heath. It appears in Domesday Book and later developed as a small road village in the Sussex Weald. Today it is part of the civil parish of Ansty and Staplefield and is known locally for its sporting life, village centre and the presence of Dark Star Brewery.
