Weston Turville: a historic Buckinghamshire village below the Chilterns

Weston Turville is a historic village and civil parish in Buckinghamshire, at the foot of the Chiltern Hills between Aylesbury and Wendover. The place was recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086 as Westone, and the later suffix “Turville” refers to the medieval lords of the manor. Over time the settlement developed around several distinct “ends”, a pattern that still shapes the village today.
