Cauneille in three videos: Jean Rameau, local walks and kiwi country

Three checked videos approach Cauneille through its Jean Rameau monument, local guided walks and the wider Landes kiwi-growing region.

The 39-second “Gloriette de Jean Rameau - Cauneille (1926)” is a compact heritage reference whose title names the poet’s mausoleum at Pourtaou. The uploader, Villes & Villages des Landes (& Alentours), links to a regional heritage-photo site; the available metadata supports the subject but does not justify claims about specific shots or narration. There is also a useful date check: the title gives 1926 in parentheses, while the Ministry of Culture inventory dates the building campaign to 1928 and notes 1925 as an alternative. Treat the clip as an identifier, not the final authority on the construction year. YouTube lists 25 February 2022 as the upload date, not a verified filming date.

At 101 seconds, the Vallée du Kiwi tourism office’s “Balade avec les Ambassadeurs du Pays d'Orthe et Arrigans” turns from a single monument to local interpretation. Its verified description says the volunteer network offers free walks throughout the year to reveal less familiar parts of the Pays d'Orthe et Arrigans. That is relevant to Cauneille because the same tourism network lists a guided countryside outing there with Dorine, but the metadata does not establish that this particular clip follows her route. Use it as an introduction to the region’s greeter service, then book and confirm the Cauneille outing directly. YouTube shows 4 May 2021 as the publication date; filming could have occurred earlier.

This 20-minute-16-second report, “La culture du KIWI dans les LANDES - Pôle Agri,” provides context for a crop associated with Cauneille without pretending to document a local orchard. Its description says the Pôle Agriculture met Fabrice Casteraa, a maize and kiwi grower in the Landes, and covers his farm, kiwi cultivation and the post-harvest fruit route through SCAAP. The Cauneille tourism office separately identifies kiwi groves among the commune’s landscape and crops; the video itself does not name Cauneille, so its farm must not be assigned to this village. The wider agricultural perspective complements, rather than replaces, the commune-specific evidence. YouTube lists 21 March 2024 as the upload date, not the filming date.
