Mondolfo e Marotta in tre video: photowalk, memoria e musei

Un itinerario tra borgo e mare, un cinegiornale sulla Spaghettata del 1948 e una visita virtuale ai Musei Civici di Sant’Agostino.

This official 4-minute-37-second photowalk was filmed in June 2019 and published by Destinazione Mondolfo Marotta. The municipal description frames it as a walk from the fortified hill town to the seaside, with visits to the historic centre and museums, an artist’s workshop, Marotta’s collective mosaic work and local seafood. It is the broadest of the three selections and helps viewers understand why the municipality presents the two places together.

Archivio Luce Cinecittà’s 49-second newsreel preserves a different kind of evidence: the Spaghettata as it appeared in a 1948 Incom news item. Its description mentions the local spaghetti festival and plates being served to residents. That makes it a useful historical counterpoint to today’s town guide, while its brief, dated footage should not be treated as a current programme or as proof of every later legend about the event.

The 25-minute-57-second virtual tour, published by the municipal tourism channel, is devoted to the Civic Museums in the Sant’Agostino monumental complex. Unlike the short photowalk, it allows a longer online preview of the museum visit and its educational framing for adults and children. It is best used to decide whether to include the museum in a trip; check the municipality for current opening arrangements.
