Joigny in three films: heritage, vineyards and a living town centre

Three complementary reports introduce Joigny’s timber-framed heritage, vineyard and craft landscape, and current work in the town centre.

Joigny’s own visitor channel presents the town through its historic buildings and its setting between vineyards, woodland and the Yonne. The short film works as a visual orientation rather than a detailed monument lecture: it shows the texture of the old centre and encourages a slower walk through the streets. It pairs well with the town’s guided heritage visits.

France Télévisions moves between Joigny’s vines, historic fabric and local craft activity. That combination is useful because it gives the viewer more than a postcard of façades: the report connects the built heritage with the working landscape and people who make things locally. It is a good companion before exploring the Côte Saint-Jacques viewpoint and riverfront.

This France 3 report looks at efforts to renew Joigny’s town centre. It adds a contemporary civic angle to the other two films, which focus more on heritage and landscape. Viewers get a sense of how shops, public space and conservation questions meet in a small historic town. The video is a current-affairs snapshot, not a guide to opening hours.
