Auch en trois vidéos : ville haute, rives et Tour de France

Trois regards complémentaires sur Auch : le parcours patrimonial et gourmand, la vie au bord du Gers et les images de la ville lors du départ du Tour 2025.

The Grand Auch tourism office’s short film is an invitation to read the city as a sequence of places rather than as a single monument. It moves from Sainte-Marie Cathedral and the monumental staircase to the market, pousterles, the Jacobins museum and the river-side greenway, with a few nearby Gers landscapes in the mix. The tourism office documents the film’s locations and shot sequence, which makes it useful before a first walk. It is a promotional portrait filmed in 2013, not a current guide to opening times.

Auch’s municipal film takes a quieter route: the camera approaches the city from the Gers, following rowers and everyday activity along the banks before revealing the cathedral and the town above. The municipality describes it as a 90-second portrait, with walkers, cyclists and river users sharing the frame. That perspective helps explain the relationship between the low town and the ridge-top historic centre better than a sequence of isolated façades. It is an artistic city portrait from 2018, not a transport or river-access update.

This 12-minute film follows the Tour de France’s 2025 departure from Auch and uses the sporting event to show the wider setting: the cathedral, Armagnac Tower and monumental staircase, river crossings, urban green spaces and parts of the Gers beyond the centre. The stage left Auch on 17 July 2025 toward Hautacam; the footage is a record of that event and includes landscape and biodiversity material, not live route information. It offers the most recent of these three visual introductions to the city and its surroundings.
