BikeArena Sonneberg’s short museum feature was published around the opening of a special exhibition on household tools in July 2015. It gives a dated glimpse into the Deutsches Schiefermuseum and its changing displays, complementing the town’s account of how slate work shaped Steinach. It is a museum record from 2015, not a guide to current exhibits or opening hours; check the museum’s current visitor information before going.

Another view of Steinach

This rider-made film follows a first visit to the Silbersattel Bikepark and says it covers all of the lines. It captures how visitors experienced the park in 2020, before the recent chairlift and activity-park changes. That makes it useful for atmosphere and riding context, but older trail layouts and facilities should not be assumed to match today's park. The operator's current trail map is the right source for planning a ride.

DPF's recording documents a sunny ski day in early March 2023 and identifies runs 3, 4 and 7 at the Silbersattel. Its value is the sense of the mountain as a winter sports destination and of the descent as a particular day, not a forecast: snow cover, piste status and lift operations change each season. Check current conditions with the operator before making a trip.
