Rautalampi on video: Pestuumarkkinat, a Konnevesi canoe trip and local disc golf

Three different views of Rautalampi: the Pestuumarkkinat gathering, a three-day canoe trip in Southern Konnevesi and a municipal introduction to disc golf.

This 41-second video offers a brief look at Pestuumarkkinat in Rautalampi in 2024. The title and setting place it within a local gathering that continues the town's association with seasonal hiring fairs, now presented as a public market and cultural event. It is a compact impression rather than a guide to the stalls or a record of the entire programme; the clip cannot establish which activities will return in another year. Visitors interested in the event should check the municipality's current dates and schedule.

This film follows a three-day canoeing trip in Southern Konnevesi National Park. Its description says the journey began at Hanhitaipale fish harbour in Rautalampi and continued among the park's islands, giving the video a direct link between the municipality and its lake landscape. It is a personal trip report rather than an official route guide; weather, wind and access can differ on another visit. Paddlers should check current launch information, forecasts and park guidance before planning their own route.

Rautalampi Municipality's 2017 film introduces the local disc-golf course. It is the most practical of the three previews, showing that outdoor recreation in the area extends beyond lake trips and hiking. The video is several years old, so it should be treated as an introduction to the activity rather than an up-to-date report on course access, condition or equipment. Confirm present information locally before making a special trip to play.
