Pyhäranta on video: rannikkopolku, kivikirkko ja Santtio

Kolme erilaista videota esittelee Reilan Hierkonpolun, Rohdaisten kirkon ja Santtion rannikkokylän.

Leader Satakunta’s short film follows Hierkonpolku in Reila, a coastal nature route built through local village work. Its description identifies the trail as a three-kilometre path beside the sea and points to its marked route and visitor facilities. The municipality’s current visitor page gives the practical distance as three kilometres one way, with two grill shelters. The video is valuable as a visual introduction to the shoreline and to the community effort behind the trail, but it is not a live trail-condition report. Check current route notices and fire guidance before setting out.

Janne Lehtinen’s two-minute drone film is specifically about the Pyhäranta church in Rohdainen. The aerial perspective helps place the grey-granite church in its coastal village setting, near the old harbour landscape that gives the building part of its context. The Finnish Heritage Agency records the church’s 1907–1909 construction and architect Josef Stenbäck; the video offers a visual complement to those written facts rather than an architectural survey. As the church remains an active parish building, viewers should check local access arrangements before visiting.

Santtioseura’s 2025 presentation is the most community-centred of the three selections. Its description introduces Santtio as a Pyhäranta village by Mannervesi and points to the village street, theatre, seafaring and boatbuilding traditions. That makes it a useful companion to the harbour’s porkarpaatti replica and to the village’s current cultural programme. It is a short promotional introduction rather than a full history or event calendar, so visitors should confirm what is open and scheduled during their own trip.
