Explore Alberobello's trulli on a long walk, then compare UNESCO's heritage view with a second route.
Alberobello is easiest to understand by walking between its trulli rather than looking at a single row of cone-shaped roofs. Prowalk Tours' extended route gives time to notice the stonework, the narrow lanes and the way the buildings cluster on the slopes of Rione Monti. The roofs form a memorable skyline, but their scale and repeated details become much clearer at street level.
The UNESCO film provides a different lens: these buildings are part of a recognized architectural landscape, not simply whimsical holiday scenery. Compare its overview with the close walking footage and look for the relationship between individual trulli and the larger street pattern.
