Three Kivijärvi perspectives: church, young locals and Lokakylä

Three distinct local perspectives: an aerial circuit of the church, young people's views of their hometown and a community portrait of Lokakylä.

The parish links Jorma Ronkainen’s video, filmed on 28 May 2020, as a circuit around Kivijärvi’s church from above. It offers a concise visual introduction to the village landmark and its setting; the parish page supplies the reliable architectural context, including the church’s completion in 1874 and dedication in 1875. The recording is from 2020, so check the parish directly for current visiting arrangements.

The Tulevaisuuden tekijät channel’s My Hometown series gives the Kivijärvi episode a local rather than promotional point of view. Its description says young people and young adults present their own views of the municipality and share their thoughts. Published in February 2021, it offers a community perspective alongside the church’s architectural history and the more specific Lokakylä portrait. Treat it as a dated introduction to local voices; municipal pages remain the place to confirm current services and events.

The Digisti Kylässä project lists this 2019 upload as its village film for Lokakylä in Kivijärvi. It is a community-scale counterpoint to the church and hometown portraits: the project report describes a participatory village-video effort that involved local residents, rather than a commercial destination advert. The report does not provide a scene-by-scene account, so the review stays with the verified subject and production context. Use it as a local introduction, then confirm current facilities and events with the municipality.
