Juupajoki in three films: ravine, coaching inn and factory art

Three different local references: an autumn walk in the ravine, the historic Kallenautio inn and an art walk through the former shoe factory at Walleniuksen Wapriikki.

Maijalan väki’s October 2025 upload is titled “Juupajoen rotko”. Its description says the group made an autumn outing to the ravine, inspired by the book Suomen rotkot, and notes that art became part of the experience. That makes it a personal outdoor perspective rather than an official route guide. The municipality’s marked trails vary considerably in length and difficulty, and the gorge paths are not winter-maintained; use current local guidance for access and safety instead of relying on a video made on one autumn visit.

“Kallenaution Kestikievari” is a location-specific upload from the channel the Spuge2004, published in July 2024. Its short description only identifies Juupajoki, Finland, so it does not support claims about the scenes or the inn’s facilities. The title nevertheless points to one of the municipality’s distinctive heritage sites: an inn museum kept at its original roadside location. Treat the film as a viewer’s reference to the place, and check the museum’s seasonal opening information before travelling; the 2026 season ended in August.

Martti Viitalähde’s September 2026 upload is titled as an art walk at Walleniuksen Wapriikki and its description dates the visit to 7 July 2026. The setting is a former shoe factory now used for exhibitions and cultural events, so this recent walk offers a timely entry point to the reuse of Korkeakoski’s industrial heritage. The description does not name individual artworks, and the exhibitions rotate; check Wapriikki’s current programme for what is on view and when the venue is open.
