Cathervielle in three videos: a winter village, its school and the Larboust

Three checked videos move from Cathervielle itself to its school history and the wider Larboust valley.

LUCHON vidéos’ village-centred clip is titled “village de Cathervielle en hiver,” which makes it directly relevant to the locality rather than a generic Pyrenees montage. YouTube records a June 2019 upload, so its winter framing should be treated as a dated view, never as current evidence of snow, road access or opening conditions. The title gives visitors a clear reason to watch: it keeps the village itself in view. Use the official commune page for its location and the local mairie for current travel details.

Luchon ExpressTV’s title explicitly turns to Cathervielle’s school history, and the uploader’s description presents the subject as a story about village schools and their closure. That makes this a distinct local-memory selection, not an official chronology. The intercommunal information currently assigns the commune’s primary-school reference to the Cazeaux-de-Larboust group; that separate, current record provides a useful factual counterpoint. View the clip as a creator’s historical account and consult dated municipal or archival material before repeating any specific claim about school dates or closures.

Chris Hac’s “Larboust & vallée d’Oô” widens the frame from one small commune to the valley named in Cathervielle’s official profile. The title carries 14 November 2019, while YouTube’s upload metadata gives 15 November. That distinction is worth keeping: the title date and publication date are not the same field. This is regional orientation, not a trail description or a film attributed to Cathervielle. Pair it with the current intercommunal route catalogue and check conditions before walking.
