Branston, Leicestershire: a small historic village near Belvoir

Branston is a village in the Melton district of Leicestershire, on the southern edge of the Vale of Belvoir. It appears in Domesday Book as Brantestone, showing its medieval origins, and for centuries it remained a small rural parish shaped by agriculture and estate life. The village stands not far from Belvoir Castle and preserves the character of an old Leicestershire settlement.
