Oltrona di San Mamette: a small Como-area comune between hills and villages

Oltrona di San Mamette is a comune in the Province of Como, in Lombardy, located in a hilly area between Como and the lower Swiss borderlands. The municipality includes the frazioni of Cerc and Gerbo and has long formed part of the network of small settlements that connect the Olgiate Comasco area with the city of Como. Its scale remains compact, but it preserves the identity of a traditional Lombard comune with a parish centre and a landscape of wooded slopes and residential hamlets.
Population: 2,350 inhabitants (2025).
Distance: about 12 km southwest of Como and about 35 km northwest of Milan.
