Caldecott is a village in Rutland, close to the Northamptonshire border, located about 4 miles south of Uppingham and 4 miles north of Corby. Its name is generally understood to mean “cold cottages,” and the settlement has long been associated with farming, village life, and the route now followed by the A6003.
