Branston, Lincolnshire: an old village south-east of Lincoln

Branston is a large village in North Kesteven, Lincolnshire, about 4 miles south-east of Lincoln. It has medieval roots and is especially notable for All Saints' Church, whose fabric includes late Saxon and early Norman work, making it one of the most historically significant buildings in the village. Over time Branston grew from an agricultural parish into an important commuter and residential settlement in the Lincoln area.
