Amaseno

Amaseno (local dialect: Masé) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Frosinone in the Italian region Lazio, located about 100 kilometres (62 mi) southeast of Rome and about 30 kilometres (19 mi) south of Frosinone, located in the Monti Lepini mountain area. Its inhabitants are primarily farmers. The village is very ancient and named in the Aeneid. Many of Amaseno's people have immigrated to the United States of America, in Canada and South America (especially in Brazil).
