Bagnoregio: The Dying City

Civita di Bagnoregio is an ancient village founded by the Etruscans over 2,500 years ago in the province of Viterbo. It sits atop a hill of clay and tufa rock that is constantly eroding, earning it the nickname "La città che muore" (The Dying City). It can only be reached via a 300-metre pedestrian bridge. A place of surreal beauty that seems suspended in time.

Points of interest: - Population: Fewer than 10 permanent residents in the historic core. - Distance: Approx. 120 km north of Rome.
